Northeast Inpatient Medical Service (NIMS) is a hospitalist practice founded in 1994. Owned by St. Joseph Hospital, it is designed to provide patients, network physicians and hospitals with high quality, efficient, and cost effective medical care. The program is primary care focused and dedicated to delivering compassionate care to all patients, working closely with their families and referring physician. Great emphasis is placed on continuity of care and communication. All physicians are dedicated hospitalists and are therefore readily accessible throughout the hospital at all times of the day. At discharge, appropriate arrangements are coordinated with the patient, family and referring providers making for a seamless transition back into the community. |
